Wilfrid J. Sproule, "Bill", age 99, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Bill was born October 9, 1924, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, the son of the late Catherine and Joseph Sproule.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 56 years, Rita, and children, Laird and Kitty Aimar.  He is the loving father of Cameron (Carmen), Colleen Rourke (Dennis), Sharon Cartwright and Daryl, and son-in-law, Thomas Aimar; cherished grandfather of 7, and great-grandfather of 13.  Sadly, Bill was also preceded in death by his brother, David Sproul,e and sister, Ellen Kuitunen.

Bill retired from GM Photographic in 1980 after 35 years of service.  He also had a part time career with Nationwide Income Tax Service where he worked from 1981-1999.  Bill was an active participant in the Michigan Senior Olympics from 1986-1994 and was also an active member of St. Gerald Catholic Church until 2019, serving in numerous capacities.

A funeral Mass celebrating Bill's life will be Monday, August 12, 11 am (in state 10:30 am), St Gerald Catholic Church, 21300 Farmington Rd, Farmington.

Immediately following the Mass everyone is invited to meet his family at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Rita.  Please meet at the cemetery at 12:45 pm.
