Welma M. Sutherland, age 94, of Farmington, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Corewell Health Campus Farmington Hills.

Welma was born April 21, 1930, in Pontiac, the daughter of Earl and Martha (Dowdy) Giles.  She married John Sutherland at St. Michaels Church in Pontiac on June 3, 1950, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 1998.

Welma is the beloved mother of Robert Sutherland, Susan (Tony) Iacobucci, James Sutherland, Peggy Sutherland and Andrew (Karen) Sutherland; cherished grandmother of Jessica (Brian) Frank, Dominic (Jessica) Iacobucci, Angela (Jeremy) Aronow, Katherine Sutherland, Megan (Nate) Fanara, Emily Sutherland and Mark Sutherland; great grandmother of Maxwell Frank, Paige Fanara, Leonardo Iacobucci, Adelaide Iacobucci, Avery Fanara, Genevieve Aronow and Callan Aronow; fond sister of the late Buddy (the late Maxine) Giles, the late Wanda (the late John) Benson, the late Bill (Edith) Giles, Nita (the late Gerald) Pippins and Diana (Ronald) Rowe.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 10 am (visitation beginning at 9:30 am) at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23615 Power Road, Farmington.
