Dr. DeMattia, of Farmington Hills, a Farmington Dentist for 30 years (ret. 1989) passed into eternal life on December 11, 2022.

Dr. DeMattia was born September 6, 1931, in Dearborn, to the late Walter H. and Eleanor C. (Boersig) DeMattia.

Dr. DeMattia was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Crouse and the late Barbara (d. 1965); cherished father of Karen (Joel Breedveld) DeMattia, Walter A. (Kris) DeMattia, Constant (Liz) DeMattia, and the late Linda (late David) Farnell; brother of John (late Frances), Joseph (Barbara), James (Edna), Mary Louise, Robert (Kim), Kati (late Terry McDowell), Susan (Stan) Laskowski, and the late Isabel (late Russell) Wood; grandfather of Bradley Bosserman, Barbara (Ryan) Tarrant, Charles (Mandy) Demattia, Shannon (Garrett) Nagy, Olivia DeMattia, Mia DeMattia, and Ava DeMattia; and great-grandfather of Kenzie and Teagan Tarrant, Sienna and Nicholas DeMattia, and Blake and William Nagy.

Dr. DeMattia's funeral ceremony is planned for Tuesday evening, December 20, at 6:00 pm (visitation from 2-6 pm) at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, downtown Farmington.
