Vincent, of Farmington Hills, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed into eternal life on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was 71 years old.
Vincent was born August 30, 1950, in Evergreen Park, IL, to the late Gerrit and Loretta (Bohanan) Vanderlugt. He married Gloria J. (Walsh) on September 18, 1971, in Chicago.
Surviving are his beloved wife of over 50 years, Gloria; four devoted children, Dee Dee (Domenico) Gentile, Julia Blaszczyk, Rebecca Glover and Paul (Sarah) Vanderlugt; cherished grandchildren, Lauren Vanderlugt, Devon (Erika) Vanderlugt, Anjelyca Nicolini, Breanna Brennan, Taylor Reberry, Jackson Vanderlugt, and Ella Vanderlugt; great-grandchildren, Scarlet Al'Nassry and Deliah Al'Nassry; and siblings, Adrian Vanderlugt, the late Bernadette Vanderlugt, the late Kathy Adler, James Vanderlugt, Gary Vanderlugt, Martha (Earl) Denny, Mark Vanderlugt, Tim Vanderlugt and Ralph Vanderlugt.
The Vanderlugt family will receive guests at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, downtown Farmington, on Tuesday, August 30th, from 12 Noon until the start of the 4 pm Memorial Ceremony. Father Walter Ptak from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Farmington will preside. Military funeral honors will conclude the Memorial.
Interment will follow at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
