Obituary

Bill, of Farmington Hills, loving husband, father, grandfather and American Patriot, passed into eternal life on Saturday, February 4, 2023.  He was 90 years old and in declining health for several weeks.

Bill was born December 19, 1932, in Detroit, to the late Lazar and Sophie (Arcalean) Croitori.  He was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Nancy, in 2005, his beloved daughter, Beth (Derek) McLaughlin, and his sister, Victoria Sharp.

Surviving are his cherished wife of 15 years, Joanne Wojnar; devoted children, Janice (fiancé Doug Wischmeyer) Pardy, Craig Croitori, and Karen (Dave) Hall; Joanne's children, Kathryn (Michael) Bartoszyk, David Wojnar, and Cynthia (Greg) Sultana; 14 grandchildren, Michael and Andrew Pardy, Nicole Sulinski, Megan Egeland, Scott Croitori, Derek and Ryan Southerland, Megan (Matt) Nardone, Brett Hall, Erica Bartoszyk, Sarah Sadowski, Mitchell Bartoszyk, and Steven and Dominic Sultana; five great-grandchildren, Landon Southerland, Greyson Albrecht, Shelby and Peyton Nardone, and Luna Sadowski; as well as a host of friends.

Family and friends may gather at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, downtown Farmington, on Wednesday, February 8th, from 2-8 pm.  The Groves Walker Post American Legion will lead a memorial ceremony at 6:30 pm, and a rosary and eulogies will begin at 7:00 pm.

Bill's funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday morning, February 9th, at 11:00 am (in state 10 am) at St. Gerald Catholic Church, 21200 Farmington Rd., Farmington.

A procession to Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia for concluding prayers and military funeral honors will follow mass.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to further honor Bill's memory are invited to consider a contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Gerald Parish.
