Tyler James Steffen passed away unexpectedly in his home on January 15, 2025, at age 40.

Tyler was born January 11, 1985, in Westlake, OH, the son of Dawnelle and Jim Steffen.

He was a kind-hearted, loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.  Tyler was employed and enjoyed working at Midwest Logistic Systems. In his spare time, he enjoyed working out, playing sports, and supporting the Detroit Lions, his home team.  Most of all, Tyler enjoyed his time he spent with the people he loved.

Tyler is survived by his parents Dawnelle Law (Jim) and Jim Steffen (Rusty), brother Greg Steffen (Melissa), sister Jillian Law, stepbrothers Jason Law (Kimberly) and Kyle Law, nephews Gabriel and Greyson Law, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be greatly missed.

A funeral Mass will be held on February 10 at 11 a.m. (in state at 10:30 a.m.) at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Rd, Farmington.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tyler's memory to the Michigan Humane Society .
