Timothy Harrington, a beloved father, brother, businessman, and revered member of the St. Ignace community, passed away peacefully at Angela Hospice, Livonia, on Monday, June 3, 2024, at the age of 77. His departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy of love, kindness, and wisdom will endure through the countless lives he touched.

Born on December 23, 1946, in Petoskey, MI, to the late Daniel and Luceil (Hirsh) Harrington, Tim was admired by all who knew him.  He was known for his insightfulness and the unwavering trust placed in his counsel. As the owner and operator of the Best Western Harbour Pointe Lakefront Hotel in St. Ignace for over three decades, he not only excelled in business but also became an integral part of the town's fabric. His dedication to providing exceptional hospitality left a lasting impression and earned him the respect and admiration of both locals and visitors alike.

Beyond his professional achievements, Tim will be remembered most for his profound impact on the lives of those closest to him. To his nieces, he was not just an uncle, but a beloved figure affectionately known as "Uncle Timmy." Always ready to share a dessert, kind words, and a laugh. To his siblings, his kind heart, sharp mind, and genuine concern for others endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

But above all, Tim's pride and joy was his role as a father. He was a devoted dad to Raleigh and Zach, their biggest supporter and advocate. Whether cheering Zach on from the sidelines of a sports game or offering guidance during life's toughest moments, Tim's love for his sons was boundless. His legacy as a devoted father will never be forgotten.

Tim Harrington leaves behind a heritage of love, kindness, and integrity that will be cherished by all who knew him. While his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Surviving are his beloved son, Zachary (fiancée Kelsey Rambo), siblings, Sue (the late John) Nagy, Thomas (Judy Fenlon) Harrington, and Patricia (Thomas) Hayden; as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Tim was preceded in death by a son, Raleigh Harrington in 2018, a sister, Cynthia (Gene) Beach, and a nephew, Clyde Beach.

Tim will be interred in a private ceremony at the family gravesite at Lakeside Cemetery, St. Ignace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angela Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
