Thomas W. Ryan, II, of Garden City, beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, and brother, passed into eternal life on Wednesday afternoon, March 8, 2023, at Garden City Hospital. He was 53.

Tom was born November 8, 1969, in Lincoln Park, MI, to Thomas Ryan and Valerie (Hoover) Wester. He married Kim (Longardner) on Valentine's Day, 2008, in Port Charlotte, FL.

Tom was a gentle, sensitive soul who deeply loved his family. He was funny, had a passion for motorcycles and Tiger baseball, enjoyed maintaining his yard, and considered his 4 dogs, Gizmo, Daisy, Lugar, and Snowball, part of the family. He was diagnosed with kidney cancer in January of 2022, and even though he suffered health issues for these last months, it never diminished his love for family. May his kind soul rest in peace.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 15 years, Kim; cherished son, Thomas (Sanja) Ryan III; grandson, Alexander Ryan; loving parents, Thomas (Sherrie Phillips) Ryan and Valerie (Gary) Wester; his sister, Amber (Josh) Takesian; step-daughters, Angelina (Dustin) Dunning, Kat Harding, and Amanda Harding; step-granddaughters, Madeline, Natalie, Elliana and Desire Dunning, Kensly and Korina Francis, and Kindness Taylor; and a host of friends.

Family and friends may gather to celebrate Tom's life at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, downtown Farmington, on Sunday, March 12, from 2-7 pm. A ceremony honoring his life will conclude the visiting hours at 7 pm.

Memorial contributions will be used according to the wishes of the Ryan family.
