Thomas, age 90, of Detroit, passed on to eternal life on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

Thomas was born September 9, 1932, in Fostoria, Ohio, the son of Gerald P. and Lenore E. (Dell) Blaser.  He graduated from St. Wendeline in Fostoria, Ohio, and then went on to attend and subsequently graduate from the University of Detroit School of Architecture.  Thomas was employed by J.L. Hudson Company Studios of Interior Design and was a member of the American Society of Interior Designers throughout his 50-year career.  He had a keen eye for high quality and was an inveterate collector of fine furnishings, antiques, and fine art.

A lifelong Catholic, he supported three parishes, St. Wendelin in Fostoria, Ohio, St. Scholastica in Detroit, and the Church of the Transfiguration in Southfield.

Thomas will be missed by his many friends of all ages.  Additionally, he will be remembered as a humanitarian, and for showing great kindness and generosity to all whom he came in contact with as well as 'all creatures, great and small'.  Thomas was always deeply interested in sharing with others his wealth of knowledge gained from a long, well-lived life of broad experience.

Thomas is survived by his cousins, Rodney Dell, Deborah Welly, Shirley Lumpe, Father John Blaser, and James Blaser.

A visitation for Thomas will be held on Wednesday, February 15th, 1-8 pm, with a 7 pm Rosary, at the funeral home.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 16th, 10 am (in state 9:30 am) at the Church of the Transfiguration, 25225 Code Rd, Southfield.  A luncheon will follow the funeral mass at a venue to be announced at the service.

Interment will take place at St. Wendelin Cemetery in Fostoria, Ohio.
