Scott Michael Stimac, age 43, of Livonia, MI passed away August 6, 2022, due to complications from his yearlong heroic battle with B-cell lymphoma.

Scott was born in Southfield, MI on January 05, 1979, to Charles and Judith (Westmark) Stimac. He attended Coolidge Elementary, Riley Jr. High and graduated from Stevenson High School in 1997. As a youth, he enjoyed being on a Bowling Team at MerriBowl, a Cub Scout/Boy Scout, playing Livonia Y Soccer, LIFL Basketball and Baseball. He took many classes at Schoolcraft College and Wayne State University focusing on Music, Psychology & Humanities. Scott spent many years working for Desirable Discs, Huron Entertainment, SFX Entertainment, Ritual and Live Nation. He also worked for Psychological Systems, Inc. as the File & Records coordinator. His last few years were spent working for Zingerman's Mail Order.

His passion in life was music! He played in many bands starting in junior high named Greed, Annihilated, Wallside, BangBang, Radio Holiday, K.I.D.S., and Arthur Colvin. Traveling with his band mates across the United States was a dream come true. Collecting cassettes, cd's, 7" records and vinyl albums was his favorite hobby. He enjoyed all music genres. His favorite vacations were to San Francisco and Germany. His favorite city he lived in was New York.

The love of Scott's life was his daughter, Estella! He enjoyed working at school in her classroom, taking her to school events, fieldtrips, their day outings to Ann Arbor, Starbucks, Marvin's Mechanical Museum, shopping, Stormy Records, walks at night to see the moon, and just hanging out with his favorite person and being silly!

Scott is survived by his loving mother, Judith Stimac; his adoring daughter, Estella; dear aunts, Patricia (Michael) Murphy, Cheryl (John) Baker, Kathleen (Johnny) McGill, Lori (Greg) MacDonnel, Jan (Jim) Baisden, Maricarmen Westmark, Marilyn Stimac, and Judith (Robert) LeVasseur; Uncles, David (Lynda) Westmark and John Koester; numerous cousins and friends. Scott is preceded in death by cousins, Michael Murphy, Jr. and Annette LeVasseur; Uncles: Bobby, Jeff, Gary Westmark, and Richard Stimac; Aunt, Donna Westmark; and grandparents, Robert (Jeannette) Westmark, and Clements (Mary) Stimac.

A Celebration of Life was held on September 9, 2022, in Corktown with all Scott's many friends including those from Detroit venues and the band community. He left this world surrounded with so much love.

Family and friends may gather at Heeney-Sundquist for visitation on Tuesday, July 18, from 11 am – 5pm, with a 4 pm memorial service.
