Sam V. Rappa, age 93, of Dearborn Heights, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022, at Beaumont Hospital in Troy.

He was born December 17, 1928, in Detroit, the son of Salvatore and Beatrice (Sample) Rappa.

Sam served in the U.S. Army and later worked as a self–employed Commercial Photographer and Videographer.  During his career he did billboard advertising and filmed for the Economic lunches in Detroit.  Sam played the guitar and keyboard, playing at different venues and with bands. He continued to play and perform for his sister at home right up until the end. Sam, and his wife Theresa, traveled on their BMW motorcycle throughout the United States and Europe.

Sam is survived by his sister, Beatrice (the late Jim) Ryan; daughter, Anna Woock (the late Michael Favot); grandchildren, Jamie Woock, Carl Lundin, and Corina Patino; 5 great-grandchildren and, numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.  Sadly, Sam was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Theresa, his brother, Frank Rappa, and granddaughter, Rhonda Mominee.

The Rappa family will receive guests on Sunday, July 10 ^th , from 2-6 pm, with sharing of memories at 5 pm at the funeral home.
