Rose Mary Simms, age 69, of Northville, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Angela Hospice in Livonia surrounded by her loving siblings following a brave battle against cancer. She will always be remembered for her bright smile, loving kindness and generous heart.
She was born August 20, 1953, in Detroit, the daughter of Irvin and Margaret (Kady) Simsick. Rose was always fiercely independent and bold in every aspect of life - faith, love of family, and expressing her thoughts and ideas. She was a joyful follower of Jesus and shared God's love with all she encountered whether serving as a catechist, leading small groups or participating in Bible studies.
Rose had a long and successful career in real estate that began while living in Arizona and continued when she returned to Michigan. She worked for many years as a Realtor with Century 21 Real Estate in Northville and was passionate about building relationships with her clients that often developed into long friendships.
Surviving are her siblings, Ronald Simsick, Irvin Simsick, and Shirley (Clarence) Berent; brother-in-law, Patrick Foley; nieces and nephews, Kristine James, Ronald M. Simsick, Robert Simsick, Renee Berent, Randy Berent, Deborah Foley, James Foley and, Sherri Frobe; and many great nieces and nephews. Sadly, Rose was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Foley. Rose's family will receive guests on Sunday, November 6, from 4-8 pm, with a 7 pm Rosary.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 7, 10 am (in state 9:30 am) at the Church of the Transfiguration, 25225 Code Rd, Southfield. To watch a livestream of the mass click the link provided. https://www.facebook.com/transfigurationsouthfield
Interment will immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
