Patricia Ann Ryzewicz, age 78, of Southfield, passed away May 10, 2023, after a long and brave battle with Parkinson's disease.

Patricia was born in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Frank and Ester Partyka. She attended St. Andrew Catholic High School, where she met the love of her life, Joseph, and graduated in 1962. The two moved to the Romulus area, where Patty took her first job working as a hole puncher for computer cards. Patty and Joseph then moved to Southfield, where they enjoyed beautiful memories together for many years. After settling in, she started working for State Farm as an office manager until 2004.

Patty always enjoyed the company of others. She enjoyed bingo, slot machines, going on vacations, eating at different restaurants, and cooking the world's best spaghetti. She was kind, loving, entertaining, and always there for her family. Patty will be dearly missed by all.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph Ryzewicz; sisters-in-law, Christine (Dave) Iwanski and Catherine Ryzewicz; and dear nieces, Jeanine, Stephanie, Loretta, and Vincent. She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Partyka.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation to honor Patricia's life.

Visitation Wednesday, May 17th, 2 – 8 pm, with a 7 pm rosary service, at the funeral home.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 18th, 10 am (in state 9:30 am) at Church of the Transfiguration, 25225 Code Rd., Southfield, MI 48033.
