Patricia K. Bowers, age 86, of Farmington Hills, passed away Monday after a long and complicated history with life on July 7, 2025, at Beaumont Commons of Farmington Hills.

She was a woman of depth and contradiction – someone who wrestled with the world around her and often found it hard to make peace with it. She was never one to pretend and she met each day with raw unfiltered honesty that would disarm or divide family and friends.

Patricia was born January 31, 1939, in Detroit, the daughter of William and Florence (Jeffs) Borland.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Cathleen M. Hofsess (Ed); grandchildren, Rachel (Ryan) Franklin and Ryan (Devon) Hofsess; great grandchildren, Blakely and Barrett Franklin; numerous nieces and nephews.  Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Neil A. Bowers (d. 1993), siblings, Bill (Mary Pat) Borland,  Gayle (Norman) Weast, and Timothy Borland.

Patricia's family has selected a simple cremation, and all services will be private.
