Michael, of Northville, beloved brother and uncle, entered eternal life early Monday morning, November 28, 2022.  He was 73 years old.

Michael was born October 31, 1949, in Detroit, to the late Irvin and Rose (Gauliente) Schemansky.  Michael enjoyed the simple things in life.  He loved walking, drinking Coca-cola, driving around and going to various destinations, especially Culver's Ice Cream.  He also enjoyed listening to all music, especially Johnny Cash 60's Motown.  May he rest in peace.

Surviving are his siblings, Diane (Frank) Surma, Anita (Jacques) Perreault, Irv (Robin) Schemansky, Karilyn (Jim) Collini, Geralyn (Peter) Schade, and Sharon (Mike) Kanan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The Schemansky family will receive guests at Heeney-Sundquist on Thursday, December 8, from 4-8 pm.

Michael's funeral ceremony is planned for Friday morning, December 9, at 10:00 am, also at Heeney-Sundquist.

Burial, alongside his parents, will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.

Memorial tributes are suggested to the National Alliance on Mental Illness-Juneau Chapter .

Michael's family is very grateful for the loving care provided to him at Llewelyn Home Care, LLC, Novi, over the past 3 years.  He was blessed with excellent care from David Ghita and his staff in an environment where he was treated with respect and dignity.
