Obituary

Michael Arthur Moore passed from this life into the presence of his Lord on June 30th, 2026, leaving behind a family forever shaped by his quiet love and steady faith.

Born September 23, 1947, in Windsor, Ontario, Mike lived a life that was full, not measured by outward accolades, but by the depth of his devotion to the people and the God he loved most.

His faith was not just for show but woven into the fabric of who he was. A longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene, Mike served his church and his community with a servant's heart, finding meaning in helping others, asking for nothing in return.

Those who knew Mike knew a man who found his greatest joy in the presence of his family. He had a gift for quiet reflection and genuine joy for his family. In those moments with his family and friends, you could see just how much the people around him meant to him. His wife, JoAnne, was his best friend and his anchor. His son Tim and daughter-in-law Emily were his pride. His brothers Tom, Larry, and Del were his most cherished people.

Mike also had a life rich with friendship and music. As a member of the dance band The Mystics, he brought joy to every room he entered. His years in the food industry left behind not just a career, but a quality group of lasting friendships. And when he wasn't working or playing music, he was happiest traveling alongside his family, seeing the world and all of the joy it contained. Mike also had a deep love for reading books, watching the Detroit Red Wings or the Toronto Maple Leafs, and going to the movies.

Mike is survived by his wife, JoAnne; son, Tim (Emily); brothers, Larry (the late Barb) and Tom (Geralyn); and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Delbert and Helen, brother Del (Janet), his sister Beverly, his beloved dogs, Sam and Stark.

Mike Moore leaves behind a legacy not of grand gestures, but of faithful presence, a man who showed up, stayed steady, and loved well.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."
