Obituary

Megan Hickey, 46, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2024. Proud of her Polish and Irish heritage, Megan brought joy and energy to those around her.

She shared a special bond with her son, Henry, and loved dancing to rap music with him, showcasing her fun and youthful spirit. Megan made friends easily and enjoyed going out to dinner with her husband, Jason, and Henry, creating wonderful memories together.

Megan found joy in the simple things—trips to the farmers market, swimming, watching movies, walking her dogs, and listening to The Beatles. Family gatherings and short trips brought her happiness, and she cherished spending time with her loved ones.

On June 7, 2008, Megan married Jason Hickey at St. Mary's in Orchard Lake. Over the years, they built a life full of love and shared experiences. Their bond was so close that they developed countless inside jokes—so many that their humor became almost a language of its own. If you hadn't known them for years, keeping up with their quick wit and playful banter would have been impossible, but for those who did, it was pure joy to witness their connection.

Megan will be remembered for her incredible sense of humor, her generosity, and her resilience. Her warmth made everyone around her feel welcome, and her laughter and love left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family and friends, who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Megan is survived by her devoted husband, Jason Hickey; beloved son, Henry Hickey; dearest father Michael Johnson (Paulette); loving sister-in-law, Kimberly Hickey; and adored niece, Dalilah Hickey.

She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Susan P. Johnson.
