Maureen Bridgett
Moline
Mar 18, 1954 — Nov 1, 2023
West Bloomfield
Maureen Moline, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and friends after bravely battling with small cell cancer since July 2023.
Maureen was born March 18, 1954, in Taylor, Michigan, the daughter of the late Wilbur J. and Martha (Patrias) O'Connor. She was one of thirteen children.
Maureen was a woman of many passions and talents. She was a devout Catholic who loved coffee and records, especially the Beatles, the Bee Gees, and Johnny Cash. She had a keen interest in plants and knew how to care for them. She was a great cook who made delicious chicken and dumplings, bread, bars, and pumpkin pie. She was also a big foot believer who never gave up on her quest to find the elusive creature.
Maureen was a registered nurse for many years, serving the community with compassion and professionalism. She also loved to travel and explore new cultures. She visited India, Spain, and Italy, among other places, and shared her experiences with others.
Maureen will be remembered for her honesty, strength, and her good sense of humor. She touched many lives and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed by all.
Maureen is survived by her loving daughters, Martha (Valentin) Poenaru, Monica (Shawn Burack) Moline, and Sandy Burdziak; adored grandchildren, Noah Poenaru, Riley Poenaru, and Quinton Poenaru; and close friend, Beth Davis.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband Edward, whom she married in 1981, in Las Vegas.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 11, 12-2:30 pm, at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, concluding with a 2:30 pm rosary service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization or the American Cancer Society in Maureen's name.
