Mary Ann, of Brighton, beloved mother and grandmother, passed into eternal life on Saturday morning at Caretel Inns of Brighton.  She was 90 years old.

Mary Ann was born on December 1, 1932, in Detroit, to the late Frank and Julia (Gongola) Stephanic.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Robert.

Mary Ann was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family. She was the glue who gathered us all together for birthdays and holidays. A self-confessed "shopaholic", she showered us with gifts. She was most content with a good meal, a decadent dessert, and her family around the table.  May her kind and loving soul rest in peace.

Surviving are her devoted children, Robert (Patti) Monaghan and Suzanne (Mark) Neumann; cherished grandchildren, Caitlin, Sean, Devin, and Griffin; and her dearest sister, Rita Murphy.  In addition to her husband, Mary Ann was preceded in death by siblings, Edward Stephanic, Frank Stephanic, Theresa Mazur, Rudolph Stephanic, and Jan Stephanic.

Family and friends may gather at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, downtown Farmington, on Saturday, February 18, from 11 am until the start of her 1:00 pm memorial ceremony.
