Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Mary Beth Dolan passed away unexpectedly on October 11, 2024 at the age of 69.

Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 5, 1955, the daughter of the late Ernestine and Warren Dolan, Sr., alongside her twin brother, Ricky.  She attended Rosary High School and worked at Uncle John's Pancake House where she met her future husband at the age of 17. Following high school, she graduated from Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan, with a Bachelor of Arts in social work.  Mary worked for the state of Michigan for over 10 years, then stepped away from the professional world to raise her three beloved children full-time.  She returned to social work with Macomb Oakland Regional Center, working with both children and adults until her retirement in 2018.  She left her mark in service to innumerable families and children in need.

Her fondest memories included countless trips to Saugatuck, Michigan, with her sister, daughter, niece and other friends and family.

In retirement, she deeply enjoyed cheering on the Michigan State Spartans with Tim and Mary's regular tailgate crew, including trips that spanned the coasts to see the football team on the road.  Her other hobbies included reading, international travels with Tim, and caring for all her plants.

Mary's greatest joys in life were her dog Lucy and cat Sophie (and several other pets over the years), and of course her children and grandchildren. She would talk about them all day if she could. She has left a massive hole in the lives of her loved ones and will be deeply missed.

Mary is the loving wife of Timothy Luxon for 40 years; beloved mother of Andrew Luxon, Emily Blatter (Michael) and Thomas Luxon (Grace Wittbold); cherished grandmother of Bear, Warren Louis, Cecelia and Charlie (on the way); dearest sister of Dave Dolan (Alisa) and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.  Sadly, she is preceded in death by her brother, Warren Dolan, Jr. and sister, Kristen Dolan.

Mary's family will receive friends Thursday, October 17, 3-6 pm at the funeral home, where a funeral service will be held at 6 pm.
