Mary Kaye DeFillipi, aged 65, of Farmington Hills, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. Mary's life was a testament to the importance of family, adventure, and the simple joys that bring happiness.
Mary was born September 15, 1958, in Detroit, the daughter of Steven and Eva (Ball) Dulka.
Mary married Terry DeFillipi on September 5, 1986, and enjoyed 37 years of marriage.
Family always came first for Mary, and her role as a mother and grandmother brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She poured her heart and soul into nurturing and caring for her loved ones, especially her four adoring grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.
Mary was celebrated as the best mother and grandmother, her love radiating through every moment spent with her family. Whether sharing laughter, stories, or quiet moments of comfort, she enriched the lives of those around her with her unwavering love and affection.
Mary embraced daily adventures with enthusiasm and a smile. She found delight in the simple pleasures of life, from indulging in pickles to reveling in the camaraderie of camping and campfires. Her love for flip flops and puzzles added charm and character to her vibrant personality, reflecting her appreciation for life's little joys.
Mary is the beloved wife of Terry; loving mother of Andrew (Hollie) and Ryan (Heather); cherished grandmother of Chase, Ethan, Silas, and Oakley; fond sister of Steven Dulka, Tammy LaMontagne, Kevin Dulka, and Brett Dulka. Sadly, Mary was preceded in death by her sisters, Denise Sherman and Donna Yakes.
Mary requested a simple cremation with no services at this time.
