Mary Helen Bruce, age 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2024, in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Mary was born July 20, 1957, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Helen and Alfred Bruce.

Mary was a devoted University of Michigan football fan, proudly holding season tickets for many years while living in Ann Arbor. She found immense joy in cheering on the Wolverines.

Mary was passionate about her career in nursing. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Nursing, she dedicated her entire career to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, where her compassion and care made a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues.

In her spare time, Mary was an avid card player and, in her later years, discovered a love for drawing on her iPad. She will be fondly remembered as the "fun" aunt, adored by her nieces and nephews for her warmth and joyful spirit.

One of Mary's favorite traditions was spending time with her family on trips up north. The family would rent a cottage by the lake, creating cherished memories during holidays together.

Mary's kindness, energy, and sense of fun will be missed by all who knew her.

Mary is the dearest sister of Kathy Valcke (Christian), Sheila Wojtowicz (Dean), John Bruce, Joseph Bruce (Kellie) and Peter Bruce (Traci) and a wonderful aunt to 8 nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass celebrating Mary's life will be Wednesday, October 30, 10 am (in state 9:30 am), Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Rd, Farmington.
