Mark I. Maniewski, 71, was called home to his Heavenly Father on April 17, 2023.

Mark was born March 11, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Hildegard and Alexander Maniewski.

Mark grew up in Farmington and graduated from Farmington High in 1970. After High School, he studied engineering at Michigan State University, graduating in 1975. His time at MSU was filled with fond memories of friends and basketball. He lovingly shared all his fun college stories with his family for the years to come. He worked for nearly 35 years in the automotive industry.

In 1983, Mark married Kathleen Stefanik (divorced in 2005) and had two beloved daughters, Amy and Carly. Being a father and raising children was something he cherished and was a defining aspect of his life. He was so proud of his daughters.

Mark was known for enjoying the simple things in life. He loved making small talk with everyone whom he crossed paths. Mark was always passionate about landscape architecture and was a knowledgeable plantsman.

Aging was not an easy road for Mark. It is our sincere wishes that he now rests in peace, knows he is eternally loved, and is always remembered for enjoying life in his prime.

Mark is survived by his two loving daughters, Amy (Philip S) McCartin and Carly Maniewski; adored grandchildren, Hildie McCartin, Philip J McCartin, Kelly McCartin, Kathleen McInerney, Elizabeth McInerney, and another McCartin grandchild on the way; and also his brother, Ronald (Patricia) Maniewski.
