Marjorie Louise
Isabel Perkins
Jul 17, 1932 — Nov 17, 2024
Northville
Marjorie Louise Isabel Perkins (née Anderson), passed away peacefully at home, November 17, 2024, in her 93rd year.
Marjorie was born July 17, 1932, in Melancthon Township Ontario, Canada.
She grew up with her parents and five siblings on their family farm. Life on the farm in that era bestowed upon her the faith of God, the love of family and the strength of community. These values she instilled and passed on generationally to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. From her rural roots she found herself in the Town of Dundalk working in a clerical position at the Dundalk creamery. Marj married Neil Flear and moved to Brampton Ontario where she continued in her banking career at CIBC while raising her most treasured girls.
Life changed for Marj when she married Donald Perkins and moved to Farmington Michigan. Marj and Don created a new blended family that she filled with her love and compassion. Marj continued working in the financial sector for twenty years before retiring. Marj and Don enjoyed travelling and loved their time on the pontoon boat.
She was a faithful supporter and number one fan of all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Marj was an enthusiastic member of the Brampton Curling Club and always enjoyed the sport of curling. Marj was an avid sports fan and became a football expert! She loved games of any sort, especially a good card game played with family and friends. She was an active member of the Brampton Firefighters Ladies Auxiliary, the Farmington Elks Club, a supporter of the Ontario Cancer Society, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Farmington, Presbyterian Women and Circle Phoenix.
Her gracious, caring and loving spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Marjorie is survived by daughters Debbie (Rob), Lynda (Wayne), Lori (Darrell) and Cathy (Bill); stepchildren Debbie (Brian K), Cam (Jan) and Brian (Janet); her twelve grandchildren Matthew, Meghan, Danielle, Johnny, Shane, Brett, Drew, Matthew K., Kyle, Sean, Lindsay and Mitchell and 9 great-grandchildren; sister Norma and sisters-in-law Beryl and Janet.
Sadly, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Perkins, beloved parents, Robert "Gordon" and Christina Anderson, siblings, Velma (Harv), Bob, Vern (Ruth), Fred, brother-in-law, Peter and grandson, James.
