Margaret Ann Porath, age 95, of Detroit, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, twelve days before her 96 ^th birthday.

She was born June 7, 1926, in Detroit, the daughter of Ferdinand and Eva (Elsholz) Porath, Jr.

Margaret dedicated her life to caring for her mother.  Though she also had numerous interests outside the home including being an avid bowler, traveler (Florida), and attending the Detroit Symphony.  Many of these activities she was accompanied by her long time companion Frank.  Margaret was a long time member of St. Scholastica Parish in Detroit.

Margaret is the beloved aunt of Robert Porath, William (Rosemary) Porath, John (Janis) Porath, Michael Porath and David (Renee) Porath; loving great aunt of R.J. (Teresa), Kevin (Erin), Matthew (Chrissy), Amanda, Nicholas (Jennifer), Sarah (John) and Katie (Bradford); and 13 great-great nieces and nephews. Sadly, Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred, Ferdinand and John.

The Porath family will receive guests on Saturday, June 11 ^th , from 9 am until the beginning of the 12 pm funeral service at the funeral home.

Entombment will take place at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum in Southfield.

Memorial tributes are suggested to Capuchin Province of St. Joseph, Benedictine of Detroit or St. Scholastica Parish.
