Margaret "Marna" J. Jaber, age 80, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, August 29 at home.

Marna was born in Detroit, MI, December 6, 1945, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Jacob Jaber.

Marna was the loving sister of Frances Kennady, Barbara Kuzniar (Dan), Judy Williams and the late Pauline Wakefield and Garrie Jaber and sister-in-law of the late Gerald Wakefield; dearest aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Marna was a proud graduate of Southfield High School. She loved spending time with family and looked forward to get‑togethers, though she was often quietly independent and preferred her own company at times. A devoted card player, Marna especially enjoyed bingo and made many happy memories around the card table. She also liked visiting casinos and often brought home the little complimentary gifts she received.

An avid camper, Marna frequently set up her tent and campsite by herself and relished the independence of life outdoors. Her practical self‑reliance and gentle presence will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A memorial service celebrating Marna's life will be at the funeral home, Thursday, September 10, 1 pm, friends can arrive at the funeral home beginning at 12 pm.
