Lynda K. Shankle, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Lynda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and devoted friend

Lynda was born August 6, 1964, in Detroit, the daughter of Wiley and Bettye (Crouch) Holbert.

Lynda met the love of her life, David Shankle, and shared over 40 wonderful years together filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.  They had celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on September 17th.

Lynda had the biggest heart anyone could ever imagine, always putting others before herself. She was known for her boundless generosity and her willingness to do anything for anyone in need. Her kind spirit touched countless lives, whether through her devoted volunteer work with Neighborhood House or simply by being the person others could always count on.

Lynda's dedication to her community and her selflessness will forever be remembered by those she helped and loved. Lynda's absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in the many lives she touched.

Lynda is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Kristina and Kimberly; grandson, Jaydon; siblings, Diane Holbert, Debra Bane, Brenda Ripaldi and Jerry Holbert; numerous nieces and nephews and her best friend, Barbara Cutshaw.  Sadly, Lynda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ken Kovach.

Lynda's family will receive guests on Thursday, October 10, from 1-8 pm, at the funeral home.

A funeral service is planned for Friday, October 11, 11 am, also at the funeral home.

Interment will immediately follow at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
