Lisa Renee
Lavigne
Nov 25, 1971 — Jan 28, 2023
Lisa, of Farmington Hills, passed into eternal life unexpectedly on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospital, West Bloomfield. She was 51 years old and admitted to the hospital on Friday.
Lisa was born November 25, 1971, in Eloise, Michigan, to James W. Okerstrom and Deborah J. (Bennett). She married Joseph A. Lavigne on February 28, 1998, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and together celebrated nearly 25 years of marriage.
In addition to her beloved husband, Joe, Lisa is survived by three cherished children, Jordan, Luke, and Lauren; her parents, James (Patricia) Okerstrom and Deborah (Joe) Marceau; siblings, Monica Sroka, Amanda (Brad) Klein, Michael Sroka, and Justin (Arianna) Okerstrom; her father-in-law, Gene Lavigne; mother-in-law, Linda (the late Ross) Tatro; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lisa enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her friends, trips up north to her father-in-law's cottage "The Farm", and travel, specifically her experiences in Hawaii, Alaska, Spain, Portugal, and the Dominican Republic. She also loved animals - especially her dogs, Alex and Luna, her grand-dog, Lottie, as well as her cat, Bubba. Most importantly, though, Lisa was an incredible wife and mother. Her devotion to her husband, Joe, and children, Jordan, Luke, and Lauren was deeply heartfelt and everlasting. May her kind and beautiful soul rest in peace.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, downtown Farmington, on Wednesday, February 1, from 2-8 pm, with a 7 pm rosary.
Lisa's funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday afternoon, February 2, at 2:00 pm (in state at 1:30 pm) at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills.
Memorial tributes are suggested to the Michigan Humane or Mother & Unborn Baby Care , Southfield.
