Kyle, of Ypsilanti, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, unexpectedly entered eternal life on Friday, February 28.  He was 21 years old.

Kyle was born May 5, 1998, in Oceanside, CA, to Kevin and Katherine (Frantz) Chapman.  A 2016 Novi High School graduate, Kyle was a kind and loving young man who always seemed to place others' needs and concerns before his own.  He served his country in the US Marine Corps and loved people and animals. By profession, Kyle was proud to be a corrections officer for Monroe County.   May he rest in peace.

Surviving Kyle are his father, Kevin; mother, Katherine; sister, Katelyn; maternal grandparents, William and Mary Frantz; aunts and uncles, Donald Chapman, Chris Chapman, Eric Frantz, Lisa Ann (Max) Smith, William (Carin) Frantz and Jerry Frantz; cousins, D.J. Chapman, Chad Chapman, Olivia Smith, Isla Smith, Ella Smith and Emma Smith; and a host of colleagues and friends.  Sadly, Kyle was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Yvonne Chapman.

The Chapman family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday, March 5, from 2-8 pm.

Kyle's funeral ceremony is scheduled for Friday morning, March 6 ^th , at 10:30 am, also at the funeral home.  Reverend Thomas Belczak will preside.

Private interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia.

Those who wish to further honor Kyle's memory are invited to contribute in his name to the Michigan Humane Society, D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
