Kim, of Farmington Hills, beloved wife, mom, grandma, and proud great-grandma, passed into eternal life at Corewell Health, Farmington Hills (Beaumont), following a difficult four-year battle with cancer.  She was 59.

Kim was born May 26, 1964, in Cincinnati, OH, to Lucy (Smith) and the late Jerome Korte.  She married Steven Woodard in December 1993, in North Carolina.

In addition to her beloved husband of 30 years, Steve, and her mother, Lucy, she is survived by two devoted children, Alicia Higgins, and Chris Higgins; siblings, Karen Francis, Jerome Korte, and Jeremy (Danita) Jacobson; loving grandchildren, Dylan Stratton, Desiree Miller, April Miller, and Aubrey Higgins; and most recently, her cherished great-grandson, Thomas Christopher Roland.

In keeping with Kim's directives, no public services are planned.  Those who wish to honor her memory are invited to contribute to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of their choice.
