MEMORIAL LUNCHEON ANNOUNCED FOR SATURDAY, MAY 3.  INFORMATION LISTED BELOW.

Kathy Taylor Harvilla, age 75, of Farmington Hills, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Campus.

Kathy was born in Kinston, NC, November 14, 1949, the daughter of the late Lacie and Horace Taylor.

Kathy cherished her upbringing on her family farm in Sandy Bottom, North Carolina, a place that instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for simple pleasures and strong family values. These values she carried with her throughout her life.

For many years, Kathy dedicated herself to her work as an insurance coordinator for Dr. Timothy Thomas in Livonia. She found genuine joy in her profession and was a valued member of the practice, known for her warm and helpful demeanor.

In her leisure time, Kathy loved to travel with her husband, especially to beach destinations, with the Caribbean Islands holding a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed the quiet moments of reading a good book or relaxing while watching HGTV.

Kathy will be fondly remembered by all who knew her as a strong, sweet, caring lady and a true Southern Belle.

Kathy is the loving wife of 49 years of Mike; dearest sister of Roland Taylor, Laura Kellum (Chuck), and Donna Taylor (Kim Marsh); fondest sister in law of Diana Howard and the late Suzanne Turrczyn; beloved aunt of Georgia, Ted, Tim, Aili and Laura and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

The Harvilla family will be celebrating Kathy's life at a memorial luncheon on Saturday, May 3, 12-4pm at Peterlin's Restaurant, 22004 Farmington Rd, Farmington, MI 48836.  Kathy's life touched many people and all are welcome. Please spread the word. Her family looks forward to seeing everyone there.
