Kathleen T. Milczarski, a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully at Angela Hospice in Livonia at the age of 66.

Kathleen was born October 12, 1957, the eldest child of Eugene and Theresa (Varani) Milczarski in Detroit.

Kathleen served as a beacon of hope and comfort during her tenure as a Registered Nurse at Harper Hospital in Detroit. Her gentle demeanor and tireless dedication left an indelible mark on all who crossed her path.

One of Kathy's passions was running with her friends and sisters. She completed fifteen marathons, starting with the 2001 LA Marathon and her last being the 2008 Detroit Free Press Marathon. In between, she qualified and finished three Boston Marathons. After her first chordoma surgery, she occupied her time caring for her parents, walking with friends and sisters, baking, cooking, photography, and working at the Farmington Farmers Market with her sister Lisa.

Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by her family, including her siblings, relatives, and friends.

Kathleen's family will receive guests on Wednesday, April 10, 2-8 pm, at the funeral home.

A funeral service is planned for Thursday, April 11, 11 am, (visitation beginning at 10 am) also at the funeral home.

Private interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
