Karen Ann Capra, age 74, of West Bloomfield, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Beaumont Hospital, Troy Campus.

She was born in Detroit, MI, March 30, 1948, the daughter of the late  William and Margaret (Ramsey) Kupfer.

Karen was known as a very caring and giving person, she would do anything for anyone.  She was also very creative, crafting and sewing many things for her family and friends.  She made masks during Covid by hand for the Native American Community.  Karen was also an avid gardener, she had a beautiful flower garden at her West Bloomfield home.  She enjoyed traveling the country with her husband, Richard in their motorhome.  Karen especially loved going to the Florida Keys.  Even though Karen kept herself busy all year long, she always made time to have a great time during her favorite holiday, Christmas.  Every year Christmas was a special time for her and her family to spend together.

Karen is loving wife of 42 years to Richard; beloved mom of Kimberly Reynolds (David), Scott Kos (Kathleen) and Lance Kos; cherished grandmother of Kyle, Ryan, Megan, Benjamin, Katie, Hannah, Kyle and Daniel and great grandmother of Jasmine and Jesse; dearest sister of  William Kupfer (Jaqi) and Tammy Leinonen.

The Capra family will receive guests Thursday, July 14, 2-8 pm, at the funeral home.

A funeral service celebrating Karen's life will be Friday, July 15, 11 am, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers her family suggests donations to Samaritan House, 62324 Van Dyke, Washington, MI, 48094.
