Obituary

Judith Kay Westmark Stimac, age 75, gained her angel wings on March 13, 2026.

Judy was born on April 8, 1950, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Robert and Jeannette (Garvey) Westmark. She graduated from St. Agatha High School in 1968 and later married Charles M. Stimac on April 7, 1973. Together they welcomed their beloved son, Scott Stimac, on January 5, 1979.

Judy began her career at Burroughs Corporation, where she worked from 1968 to 1978. After becoming a mother, she devoted herself to raising Scott and giving back to her community through volunteer work. She served as Membership Chairman for the Redford Township Cooperative Nursery, was PTA President at Livonia's Coolidge Elementary School, and was an active member of the Livonia PTA Council. In recognition of her dedication to Livonia Public Schools, she received both the Golden Apple Award and the Distinguished Service Award.

Later, Judy returned to the workforce as the office manager for Psychological Systems, Inc., where she worked from 1987 until her retirement in 2018.

Judy enjoyed bowling, cooking, and spending time on craft outings with her dear friends. She and her husband shared many wonderful years boating, traveling, and taking motorcycle trips together, creating cherished memories along the way. Above all else, Judy's greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with her family.

Judy will be remembered for her warm smile and deep devotion to family and friends. A loving grandmother to Estella and a cherished sister, Judy's generous spirit, steady support, and kind heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on through her family and the many friends whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her adoring granddaughter, Estella; her sisters Patricia (Michael) Murphy, Cheryl (John) Baker, Kathleen (Johnny) McGill, Lori (Greg) MacDonell, and Jan (Jim) Baisden; her brother David (Lynda) Westmark; sisters-in-law Maricarmen Westmark, Judith (Robert) LeVasseur, and Marilyn Stimac; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; her son, Scott; her brothers Bobby, Jeff, and Gary Westmark; her sister Donna Westmark; her parents, Robert and Jeannette Westmark; her in-laws, Clements and Mary Stimac; her brother-in-law Richard Stimac; her nephew Michael Murphy; and her niece Annette Levasseur.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Amy and Ryan Crosby for their unwavering support over the years, and for their continued kindness and compassion as we honor and remember Judy.

May the love Judy shared and the memories she created bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
