Judy, of Dearborn, beloved sister, aunt and friend, passed into eternal life on Thursday afternoon, October 20, 2022, at Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn.  She was 79 and hospitalized for two weeks.

Judy was born September 20, 1943, in Detroit, to the late John and Mary (Hayes) Hotke.

Judy remained very active until her hospitalization and enjoyed maintaining her home and yard.  She loved cooking and caring for others and those for whom she entertained always left very well-fed. A giving person, she would often sacrifice herself to support others in need.  She had a kind heart and deservingly earned the loyalty of others.  May her caring and generous soul rest in peace.

Judy was most recently preceded in death by her sister, Carol (Bill) Varga.  Surviving are her devoted brother, Donald (Lori) Hotke; nieces and nephews, Becky (Tim) Doran, Jeff (Jen) Hotke, Randy Varga, and Scott (Amy) Varga; and great-nieces and nephews, Locke Doran, Jake, Juliet and Jack Hotke, and Cody, Casey and Abby Varga.

No public services are planned.  Those who wish to honor Judy's memory are invited to contribute in her name to the Michigan Humane Society .
