Jerry Lenda, age 82, of Farmington Hills, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his residence.

Jerry was born September 9, 1943, in Brzozowo, Poland, the son of Boleslaw and Agata (Sulewski) Lenda. He grew up with strong values rooted in hard work, faith, and family, principles that guided him throughout his entire life.

Jerry immigrated to the United States when he was 27 years old. He married the love of his life, Teresa Oldakowski on February 19, 1971 and together they shared 54 years of marriage, building a life grounded in love, devotion, and resilience, walking hand in hand through life's joys and challenges.

Jerry embodied the true definition of 'jack of all trades'. There was not anything he could not fix or build, including his home and cottage that he enjoyed dearly. At the cottage, Jerry loved walking through the woods, swimming in the lake, hunting for deer, fishing, and gathering mushrooms. Jerry was happiest there when surrounded by his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

A devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, Jerry will be remembered for his quiet strength, his sense of humor, and his unwavering support of his family whom he loved dearly.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa; son, Daniel Lenda; daughter, Iwonka (Josh) Eagle; grandchildren, Evelyn Lenda, Daniel Lenda, Jr., Henryk Lenda, Max Eagle and Alexander Eagle; brothers, Zygmund Lenda, Hubert Lenda; sister, Barbara Koszinski.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ludwik, Jan and Richard.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, December 21, from 1-8 pm, with a 7 pm Rosary, at the funeral home.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 22, 10 am (in state 9:30 am) at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23615 Power Road, Farmington.

Interment will immediately follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Deaborn Heights.
