Jeannine T.
Webber
Nov 25, 1928 — Dec 28, 2023
Jeannine, of Novi, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed into eternal life on Thursday afternoon, December 28, at her home. She was 95 years old.
Jeannine was the third of four children born to Chris and Theresa Webber. The family spent their time between Detroit and Thompsonville, MI.
First and foremost, Jeannine adored her family. Her daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, their spouses, and their children. Her mother and father were very important to Jeannine and she was a devoted and beloved daughter to both.
Jeannine was a genius at finding a better way to do almost everything. Crafts, cooking, decorating, and avoiding traffic by knowing the shortcuts. She had stores on speed dial and knew the managers by name so she could get right to the point.
Jeannine's hobbies included reading and movies. She was up to date on award shows, Hollywood gossip and "who was wearing what." Nothing topped her affection for Downton Abby which she watched and rewatched daily.
Jeannine was a sun worshipper and spent her life close to beaches and pools. She owned multiple bathing suits, matching her hat and pool "noodle" as well. She treasured the friends she made at the local pool and looked forward to seeing them each year including the summer of 2023.
As a mother her devotion was endless. Jeannine made sure Cindi had a life filled with music, concerts, good food, laughter, and silliness. As a Nana, this devotion expanded easily with the birth of grandchildren Lauren, Leslie, and Aaron. All three grandchildren were her pride and joy. When great-grandchildren came along she expanded her heart and talents to include her life in theirs whenever possible. Throughout all these years, Jeannine made sure she was the most helpful to both Alan and Cindi as they raised their children and grandchildren.
Her work in retail made her a natural at the Nardin Park Rummage sale where she made wonderful friends. Working with the donated items gave her a sense of purpose and pride in her later years.
Surviving are her devoted daughter, Cynthia (Alan) Helisek; three cherished grandchildren, Lauren (Ken) Johnson, Leslie Partlow, and Aaron (Taija) Helisek; five great-grandchildren, Luke and Avery Johnson, Reese and Josie Jean Partlow, and Cosette Helisek. Also survived by her dearest sister-in-law and friend Joan Webber. Jeannine is also survived by her nephew Joseph (Patsy) Rollo, Donna (Al) Path, great niece Lisa (Tod) Path, Susan (Steve) Buczniewicz and her great-great nieces and nephew. Jeannine also leaves dear friends Michael Partlow, the Tiffany and Jeff Humes family, Lisa Tini and caregivers Kimberly Dominic, Debbie Tracey, Heather Deal, and Jen Lynn.
Jeannine was preceded in death by beloved parents Chris and Theresa Webber, siblings, dear brother Melvin Webber, dear sister Virginia (the late Joseph) Rollo, and dear brother Wayne (Joan) Webber.
Friends and family may gather for visitation at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, from 2-8 pm.
Jeannine's funeral ceremony is planned for Saturday morning, January 6, at 11:00 am (instate 10:30 am), at Nardin Park United Methodist Church, Farmington Hills.
