James Stephen Brossard, age 78, of Livonia, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023.

James was born August 7, 1944, in Detroit, the son of George William and Lulu Belle (Pederson) Brossard.

James married Marian "Anita" Carlisle on June 19, 1965.  He was employed at General Electric as a Service Technician before his retirement.

James will forever be remembered for many things. The love he had for his family, friends, and animals. His wonderful sense of humor. How much he loved to go fishing and play cards. How he looked forward to coffee with his friend and neighbor Steve. How proud he was of his grandchildren. His willingness to help anyone in need. His kindness.

Beloved husband of 57 years to Anita; loving father of Stephen; cherished grampy of Samantha, Stephen and Sean; fond uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews; and also survived by his beloved dog, Diamond.

The Brossard family will receive guests on Wednesday, March 1 ^st , 2-8 pm, at the funeral home.

The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, March 2 ^nd , 11 am, also at the funeral home.

Immediately following the service, a funeral procession will take James to his final resting place at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, MI.

Memorial tributes may be directed to a Veteran's charity of the donor's choice.
