Geraldine M. Miller, age 92, of Redford, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in Commerce Twp, MI.

She was born in Hamtramck, MI, March 14, 1930, the daughter of the late Elsie and Alexander Szarek.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, John.

Geraldine was a wonderful wife and mother of four beloved sons, John (Bobbi), Thomas (Joyce), Philip (Lee) and Kurt (Kendra); beloved grandmother of 9; cherished great grandmother of 2; and fondest sister of the late Alex.

Geraldine was a Cass Tech graduate and majored in clothing design.  She was an excellent seamstress and worked at fabric stores for 30 years.  She also volunteered numerous times as an usher at the Fox and Fisher Theaters, and as an officer in many organizations including the school PTA, the church bowling league, the Redford Seniors and the Red Hat Ladies Society.  Gerry loved to travel with her family and the Redford seniors. She also loved reading mystery novels and working on crossword puzzles. Gerry was resourceful, self-sufficient and lived a good long life.  She positively touched many lives and will be missed but never forgotten.

The Miller family will greet guests Tuesday, October 25, 3-6:30 pm at the funeral home, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm.

Geraldine will be laid to rest Wednesday, October 26, 10:30 am, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, next to her husband, John.  All are invited to meet at the cemetery for the final committal prayers.
