George F. Charnesky, age 95, of Southfield, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022.

He was born in Hamtramck, MI, February 22, 1927, the son of the late Adolph and Germaine Charnesky.

George is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Loretta, who passed away in 2019.

He is the loving father of Dennis (Sharon), Cheryl Essiambre, Kevin (Jerri), James (Hana), Nancy and Thomas (Karen); beloved grandfather of Melissa, Matthew (Kirsten), Kimberly (Eric), Roseanne, Scott (Erin), Stacy (Tom), Craig, Chad and Andrew (Joy) and great grandfather of Emma, Elliott, Annabelle, Brody, Chloe, Mia, Steele, Kendrick and Lia; brother of Maurice, Victor and the following deceased, Andrew, Joseph and Doris.

George's final resting place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.

In lieu of flowers, the Charnesky family suggests donations to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in George's name.
