Genevieve Theisen departed this world on June 26, 2023, surrounded by prayer and family.

The daughter of Polish immigrants, she was born in Detroit in 1930 and spent her formative years enjoying the Motor City. She relocated to Farmington with her husband Robert and their three children, residing in the house they built in 1964 until her final days. Throughout her life, she was a devoted wife and mother who loved to garden, cook, and entertain friends and family. Her door was always open, and her companionship was a salve for the soul.

Genny is survived by her son Robert Theisen, daughters Nancy Theisen and Suzanne Achtemeier, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
