Genevieve Flemming, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed into eternal life at her Guyton, Georgia, home on Thursday, May 18, 2023. She was 98 years old.

Gerry was born October 19, 1924, in Detroit, Michigan. She was an inspirational female to many women, receiving her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, during a time when many women did not attend college.

Gerry was known for being an avid reader, trend setter, soft spoken, a talented cook making meals that tasted great and were healthy, a meticulous flower planter, a devout parishioner and volunteer at her Methodist Church, and helping raise her dear familiy members.

Gerry is survived by her beloved son, William (Laurie) Langston; dear grandchildren, William (Lindsay) Langston Jr. and Jennifer (Nathaniel) Fichtorn; and loving great-grandchildren, Tanner Langston and Liam Fichtorn. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Burnette Langston (D.1984) and Robert Flemming (D.1999); dear sisters, Alice Langshied and Sarah Mayswinkle; and brother-in-law, Dale Mayswinkle.

A private graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, in Farmington, Michigan.
