With heavy hearts, we announce that our son, Gaurav Mehta, has left this earthly life to be with the Lord, resting now in eternal peace. Gaurav brought so much joy and love into our lives, and his loss leaves us heartbroken.

Gaurav was born in Royal Oak and raised in Lathrup Village. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He was a smart, influential and accomplished salesman, owning a cellular phone business and consistently surpassing quotas. Gaurav and Sonia were married on August 22, 2015, at Faith Christian Church, where they faithfully attended services together. His life was defined by a quiet dedication to his family, faith, and his community.

Gaurav was a kind-hearted and unique soul who did things in his own special way. He loved children, traveling, Lebanese food, and spending time in worship and fellowship. Gaurav was known for his deep love of family, quiet strength, sincere heart, and willingness to help those in need.

Gaurav will be remembered always for his compassion, loyalty, his perseverance throughout all of life's challenges, and the kindness he gave so freely. His family loved him deeply and will carry his memory forward with gratitude & enduring love. Gaurav will be missed more than words can express. Gaurav is survived by his devoted parents, Dinesh and Ragini Mehta; his loving wife, Sonia Mehta, his caring sister & brother-in-law, Geeta & Lovin Saini; & adored nephews Arhaan & Veer Saini.
