Eric K. Kuuttila, aged 62, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Livonia, MI, May 4, 1960, the son of Ellen and Kenneth Kuuttila.

Eric was a beloved family man and husband to Diane for 33 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in Kaleva, hunting with his sons, spending time with loved ones and reading to his grandson. He spent his life working as a union carpenter and thoroughly enjoyed a second career as a Detroit building inspector. Eric was an excellent provider for his family and was always present for his children's activities. He will be missed immensely by his family and friends but they find comfort knowing he is now at peace.

Eric is the cherished son of Ellen and Ken; loving husband of Diane; beloved father of Nicholas (Emily), Kari Broth (Ryan), Wesley and Robert; fondest grandfather of Jonathan; dearest brother of Amy Long (David) and Susan Stevens (Jack) and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

The Kuuttila family will receive friends Wednesday, March 8, 11am-1pm, at the funeral home, where a funeral service will be held beginning at 1 pm.
