Elizabeth "Kip" Maxine Voss (née Youmans), age 85, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, with her family by her side.

Born on October 28, 1940, in Des Moines, Iowa, Kip was the cherished daughter of Phillip and Maxine Youmans (née Hill). She graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines in 1957 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Drake University in 1961.

Kip was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jerry ("Jer"), with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage.

She was the beloved mother of David (Lisa), Daniel (Sara, and the late Kimberly), and Anne Schrock (Ray), and a treasured grandmother to Dante Voss, Grace Schrock, and Matthew Schrock, who brought her great pride and joy. Kip's warmth, quiet strength, sharp wit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

A woman of faith, service, and community, Kip was an active and proud member of P.E.O. and a faithful parishioner of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Novi. She touched many lives through her kindness, generosity, and steadfast support of those she loved.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, faith, and gentle grace. May her memory be a blessing and an enduring comfort to all who loved her.

The Voss family will receive guests on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 12 - 6 pm, at the funeral home.

A funeral service is planned for Sunday, January 4, 2026, 1 pm (visitation beginning at 12 pm) at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 40700 10 Mile Road, Novi.

Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
