Douglas J. Reed, Sr., age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026.

Douglas was born in Detroit, MI, October 2, 1935, the son of the late Edna and Jasper Reed.

Douglas is the loving husband of Nancy for 68 years; beloved father of Laura Reed, Pamela Reed, Douglas Reed, Jr. (Catherine Cangany) and Matthew Reed (Brenda Herrera-Reed); dearest grandfather of 4 and fondest brother of the late, Barbara, Virginia and Eleanor.

The Reed family will receive guests Thursday, April 23, from 5-7 pm and again on Friday, April 24, from 9-11am at the funeral home where a service will held Friday at 11am.

Douglas will be interred at Franklin Cemetery in a private ceremony with his family.
