Douglas Andrew Babler, age 31, our dearest son, grandson, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills.

Doug was born in Dearborn, MI, on October 29, 1990, the son of Kristine Babler-Jones (Horne) and Richard Babler.

Doug was known for having a great sense of humor. He loved going out with his friends and when together, he was always very present. He loved cooking meals for his friends, working out with the group in kickboxing classes, and would fall asleep frequently with his phone in his hand after a long night of texting with them. He had a deep connection with his family, friends, and members of his gym, and in the last few years, he really cherished his wonderful group of friends. He was heart-warmed and found his happy place working with children that were differently abled and volunteered many hours working with youth sports programs and camps. He held strong opinions but in a kind and caring way. Doug enjoyed watching cooking shows and could eat tacos seven days a week. Gone way too soon. May he rest in peace.

The Babler family will receive guests Thursday, September 1, 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
