Donald J. Reilly's Obituary
Donald J. Reilly, of Farmington Hills, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away Thursday morning, August 16th, at Angela Hospice, Livonia. He was 78, and had been ill for several months.
Don was born October 27, 1939, in Chicago, to the late Andrew and Rita (Firmiss) Reilly. He married Arlene M. (Sisovsky) on April 4, 1964, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Flint. Don was employed for 44 years with General Motors, working in Chevrolet, Detroit Diesel, Saturn and, lastly, the GM Powertrain Divisions.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Arlene; devoted daughters, Sue (Tom) Tracz, Pam Fox and Cheryl (Mike) Patellos; grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin and Caroline Tracz, Irena, Lydia and Alaina Fox, and Jessica, Victoria and Nicholas Patellos; and siblings, Richard (Sharon) Reilly, Regina (Stan) Hartline, Dennis (Christine) Reilly, Mary (John) Coners and Joanne (Tom) McGuire. Sadly, Don was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Butkus.
In lieu of customary remembrances, those who wish to further honor Don's memory are invited to consider contributions to Angela Hospic e, Livonia.
Don's funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday morning, September 1st, at 11:30 am, at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 West 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills. The family will receive guests at church beginning at 10:30 am.
