Dean was born April 6, 1947, in Detroit, an only child to the late Dean Sr. and Verna Hansen. In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia.
Dean retired as a groundsman for Northwest Airlines in 2008. There he played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of aircraft on the ground at Detroit Metro and contributed to the overall safety and functionality of airport operations.

Dean had a passion for cats, often finding solace and joy in the company of his feline companions. His home was a haven for these furry friends, and his love for them was boundless.
A true aficionado of the silver screen, Dean's love for movies was infectious. Whether it was a classic film or the latest blockbuster, Dean's enthusiasm for cinema was unmatched.
Dean's giving nature knew no bounds. He was a wonderful source of support for his friends and family, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His acts of kindness, both big and small, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.
Wit and humor were Dean's trademarks. His quick wit and charming sense of humor could brighten even the darkest of days. Dean had a unique ability to find joy in life's simple pleasures and share that joy with those around him. Friday evenings at O'Malley's Irish Pub in Livonia held a special place in Dean's heart. Surrounded by friends and laughter, Dean found joy in these gatherings. The pub became a tradition, a place where friendships were strengthened, stories were shared, and memories were made.
Dean's departure leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his legacy of love, generosity, and wit will continue to inspire and bring smiles to those who were privileged to know him. As we bid farewell to Dean, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and strive to live with the same passion, kindness, and laughter that defined his remarkable journey.
