Listen to Obituary

David A. Viers, 76, of Novi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

David was born July 24, 1950, in Richland, Virginia, the son of Emmett and Dorothy (Kyte) Viers. He married the love of his life, Susan Marie Keefer, on March 17, 1973. They shared many wonderful years together until her passing on February 25, 2024.

David was a kind, loving, and faithful man who never met a stranger. He was very outgoing and friendly, and his warm personality made people feel welcome wherever he went. David loved to joke and had a wonderful sense of humor that brought smiles and laughter to those around him. His generous heart and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

David worked as Product Security for General Motors before his retirement.

David was a loving husband, family man, and a devoted friend. He also held a special place in his heart for Josiah, serving as a father figure and offering him love, guidance, and support throughout the years.

In his younger years, David was athletic and enjoyed staying active. He carried that same energy and enthusiasm into the many relationships and experiences that shaped his life.

David will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will remember him for his loving nature, infectious sense of humor, faith, and the special way he made people feel cared for and accepted.

He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

David is survived by his daughter, Lyndi Bostic; grandchildren, Josiah Bostic, Manuel Camacho, Antonella Camcho and Leandro Camacho and his sister, Cheryl (Cheryl Martin) Viers. David was also preceded in death by his brother William “Mike” Viers.

David’s family will receive guests on Thursday, October 8, 2026, beginning at 2 pm until the 7 pm funeral service, at the funeral home.

A private interment will take place at Christian Memorial Gardens in Rochester Hills.

Memorial tributes are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
